MT Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the psychologist ("Expert") collects, uses, and protects the personal information provided by clients ("Clients") in the course of providing counselling and workshop training services. The Expert is committed to ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of all personal information shared by Clients. By using the services provided by the Expert, Clients consent to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection:
a. Personal Information: The Expert may collect personal information from Clients, which may include but is not limited to name, contact details, demographic information, and emergency contact details.
b. Zoom Communication: The Expert may connect with Clients through Zoom or other secure video conferencing platforms to facilitate counselling sessions or workshop training.
c. Wix Booking: Booking of sessions may occur through the Wix platform, and the Expert may collect necessary information to process and confirm appointments.

d. Google Mail and Drive: The Expert may use Google Mail and Drive to send or receive assignments, materials, or other relevant documents during the counselling or workshop training process.

Data Security:
a. The Expert employs security measures, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, to protect the personal information collected from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While the Expert takes reasonable precautions to protect the privacy and security of client information, the Expert cannot be held liable for any data breaches or unauthorized access that may occur due to vulnerabilities or problems with these third-party platforms.
b. Confidentiality: The Expert maintains strict confidentiality regarding all client information, in accordance with professional ethical guidelines and applicable laws.
c. Limited Disclosure: Confidentiality may be breached in cases of emergency or when there is a threat to the safety or well-being of the Client. The Expert may disclose information to emergency contacts or caregivers to ensure the Client's safety.

Peer and Supervisor Consultation:
a. The Expert may occasionally discuss client cases with supervisors and peers in a professional setting. However, when doing so, no identifiable client details, such as the name of the client, will be disclosed.

Record-Keeping:
a. The Expert maintains electronic and handwritten records of client sessions and progress, including notes, assessments, and treatment plans.
b. Confidentiality of Records: All client records are kept confidential and are securely stored to prevent unauthorized access.
c. Assignments and Worksheets: Any assignments or worksheets provided to Clients during the course of counselling or workshop training are kept confidential.

Counseling Services for Minors:

a. While maintaining the minor's confidentiality is crucial, parents/guardians will have access to general information regarding the minor's progress and any concerns that may need to be addressed. Specific session details will be kept confidential to protect the minor's privacy and encourage openness in counseling.

b. Information will not be shared with third parties without the consent of the parent/guardian, except in cases where there is a legal obligation to do so, such as mandatory reporting of abuse or threats to safety.

Changes to the Privacy Policy:
a. The Expert reserves the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time, without prior notice. Clients are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

By using the services provided by the Expert, Clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy.
